Domain is ... lemme makeit simple ...yahoo isthe domain nameof your yahoo email address.... its your name@domail.com or any other extenstion........

webhosting is where other servers host the link or banner to your website (if you hav one)

Other Replys:To publish a web site you have to buy two things one is Domain Name e.g. www.yahoo.com this you can buy from www.networksolutions.com and other thing is web space where your web pages will be kept. once you have purchaged the domain name it will be pointed to your web space and when anyone will hit on your domain a web page index.html kept at your web space will be called and served to the user.

You can register your own domain name like YourName.com at GoDaddy or many other registrars. Do a search for register domain and take your choice of registrars. They charge varying prices so choose the cheapest and easiest for you to understand how to use.

A web host is the computer where your website files are stored. Web hosts offer accounts for domains as explaines above, or subdomains like yoursite.yahoo.com.
