Rss feeds and articles?

hi, i have web hosting and a domain name just sitting around going to waste. i want to know... is there a way i can put a script on to my website that grabs news articles from yahoo,cnn and other sites to automatically grab that article and put it on my website and have my rss script mail out the update to my suscribers?

is this possible?

http://developer.yahoo.com/weather/

Then read these:

http://rss2email.infogami.com/

http://www.r-mail.org/
